Depending on the event, we may be able to offer a dedicated portion of the restaurant, exclusive use of the patio, or a full buyout.Capacity depends on the seating plan, style of service, and use of the space. Share your estimated guest count with us, and we will help determine the best setup.

We generally recommend a family-style or multi-course menu selected in advance for the entire group.Menus change with the season and may include shared antipasti, housemade pasta, seasonal main dishes, vegetables, and dessert.Final menu selections are developed with the host closer to the event so the meal can reflect the ingredients available from our farmers and producers.

We can accommodate many common dietary restrictions with advance notice.Please share any allergies or dietary needs during the planning process. Some requests may affect the available menu options, particularly for larger groups.

What beverages are available?

La Posta offers an all-Italian wine list, beer, and nonalcoholic beverages.Our license does not permit us to serve distilled spirits.For private events, our team can select wines for the table, develop pairings, arrange hosted wine and beer, or charge beverages according to consumption.

Is a deposit required?

Group dinners, private events, and buyouts may require a deposit and signed agreement.The deposit amount, payment schedule, food-and-beverage minimum, cancellation terms, and other requirements will be included in the event proposal.

Can you help coordinate custom details or local partners?

Yes.We are happy to discuss menu development, wine selections, music, flowers, décor, table arrangements, timing, and the overall flow of the gathering.When a request falls outside what La Posta can provide directly, we may be able to recommend local florists, musicians, planners, venues, producers, and other creative partners throughout Santa Cruz and the surrounding area.All outside vendors, installations, entertainment, and special arrangements require advance approval and coordination with our team.

Can you host events outside regular restaurant hours?

Yes.With advance planning, La Posta may be available for private events outside our regular dinner hours.We have hosted afternoon awards ceremonies and may also be able to accommodate retirement lunches, memorial gatherings, nonprofit receptions, team luncheons, daytime celebrations, wedding welcome events, and other private occasions.Availability depends on the date, guest count, staffing needs, event format, and preparation required.Events outside regular hours may be subject to a buyout charge, food-and-beverage minimum, or additional staffing costs.
